Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is the state's leading workforce agency, committed to providing employment services for individual job seekers and connecting employers to available workers.
IWD continually strives to serve Iowans with the most effective possible use of state resources. The agency works diligently to improve its processes and align the organization so it can provide effective, demand-driven products and services.
IWD staff in Des Moines consists of administration, labor market information, and unemployment services, as well as Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Adult Education & Literacy programs. The agency also maintains a statewide delivery system of IowaWORKS Centers and satellite and expansion offices where both employers and job-seeking Iowans can receive workforce assistance through the IowaWORKS partnership.
